About Me - Marc Fippel, Photographer
I’m Marc Fippel, a photographer born in 1973 in Nairobi, Kenya. I spent my childhood in Kenya, South Africa, and Germany. I speak German, English, French, and a few words of Kiswahili. The world is my home. Come join me on a journey. My childhood shaped who I am, and I had the chance to get to know many different people and cultures. Moving around so often taught me to react flexibly and spontaneously to new situations and events.
My mother, Jacqueline Fippel, gave me the sensitivity and keen intuition needed to understand what really matters in life. My father, Bernd Fippel, taught me the basics of photography and showed me what it means to work independently with passion and perseverance. Today, I live with my wife, Heike, and my son, Emilias, in Zwingenberg on the Hessian Bergstraße. My wife, Heike, supports me every day in our business.
What makes me who I am? I’m open-minded, love meeting people, and enjoy discovering what truly moves them deep down. Their stories inspire me. As a photographer, I’m not just an observer—I’m a door-opener: I help people discover their true selves and bring them to light—through images that connect and move people. In doing so, I’m a networker in the best sense of the word: I take joy in bringing people together, sparking new ideas, and sharing creative thoughts.
